Pleasant Hub has developed Terms and Conditions of Use and important Platform Posting Guidelines and moderation policies to keep the platform dedicated to pleasant interactions and help protect members from abuse.

While we truly regret pointing out so much negativity below, we need to be very clear about what Pleasant Hub does allow, and does NOT allow so people can fearlessly share their life experiences, ideas, knowledge and thoughts. Please review the Terms and Conditions of Use detailed below:

1) Your use of the Pleasant Hub website forms a legal agreement between you and Pleasant Hub and is subject to the terms of that agreement as stated below in these Terms and Conditions of Use.

How you accept and agree to the Pleasant Hub Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement:
BY ACCESSING AND USING THIS WEBSITE (“pleasanthub.com”, “Pleasant Hub”, “WEBSITE”, “SITE”, “PLATFORM”, “COMMUNITY”, “HUB” OR “NETWORK”), YOU AFFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ AND ACCEPT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE IN THEIR ENTIRETY.

ANYONE PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY WHO ACCESSES, SIGNS-IN, VIEWS CONTENT, ADDS A USER-SUBMISSION, ADVERTISEMENT OR OTHERWISE PARTICIPATES IN ANY WAY (COLLECTIVELY “USERS”) ON Pleasant Hub UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT WHILE Pleasant Hub UTILIZES MANY SECURITY FEATURES, USERS ACCEPT AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT NO WEBSITE INCLUDING “pleasanthub.com” IS COMPLETELY SAFE AND YOU USE “Pleasant Hub” THE WEBSITE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

USERS ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT Pleasant Hub DOES NOT PRE-SCREEN, LIMIT OR VET USERS PROVISIONED WITH LOGIN ACCESS OR USERS LOGGED IN AT ANY GIVEN TIME, AND THAT “Pleasant Hub” ITS PRINCIPLES, AFFILIATES OR SUPPLIERS ASSUME ZERO LIABILITY FOR THE ACTIONS OF USERS ON Pleasant Hub OR ELSEWHERE ON THE INTERNET AND THAT USERS ARE SOLEY RESPONSIBLE FOR CONTENT THEY POST, ADD OR UPLOAD TO pleasanthub.com AND THAT Pleasant Hub MAKES NO GUARANTEES DIRECTLY OR IMPLIED ABOUT CONTENT OR SECURITY AND ASSUMES ZERO LIABILITY FOR CONTENT USERS SUBMIT ON pleasanthub.com OR THE SECURITY OF ANY USER SUBMITTED CONTENT IF THE WEBSITE IS HACKED. Pleasant Hub “USERS” LOGIN, ACCESS AND USE pleasanthub.com ENTIRELY AT THEIR OWN RISK WITHOUT RECOURSE AND AGREE TO HOLD HARMLESS Pleasant Hub, ITS PRINCIPLES, AFFILIATES OR SUPPLIERS.

2) Pleasant Hub is a social media website which allows User-submitted Content
Pleasant Hub is a social media website which allows User-submitted Content and may include opinion(s) expressed by Users that you may see on the Pleasant Hub website and in any corresponding comments. Opinion(s) express by Users are the personal opinions of the original authors, not of Pleasant Hub or its Principles, Affiliates or Suppliers. The Content on Pleasant Hub is provided for entertainment purposes only and is not meant to be an endorsement or representation by Pleasant Hub or any other party.

3) Content on the Pleasant Hub website is protected by intellectual property rights
You understand and acknowledge that Content on the Pleasant Hub website is protected by intellectual property rights and are owned by the person from which such content originated (i.e. User-submitted Content) or Pleasant Hub the Website or by other entities. You acknowledge that you are not allowed to copy, modify, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute or create derivative works of Content including but not limited to: verbiage, text, images, video, music, articles, logos, statistics, slogans and photographs which you may have access to as part of, or through your use of the Pleasant Hub website unless you have specific written authority that you are granted permission do so by Pleasant Hub or by the owners of rights to any content on the Pleasant Hub website in a separate written agreement.

4) Everyone Age 55 and Older is Welcome on Pleasant Hub.
Pleasant Hub is an online social network where everyone at least 55 years of age is welcome. Our mission is to keep Pleasant Hub is an enjoyable experience where all members can post and share without fear of being attacked online or receiving hate speech. To this end, Pleasant Hub will not tolerate any account, person or post that insults, ridicules, disrespects, degrades or threatens on the basis of:

• Race
• Ethnicity
• National Origin
• Religion or Religious Affiliation
• Political Views or Leanings
• Political Party
• Disability or Disease
• Gender
• Gender Identity
• Sexual Orientation
• Skin Color
• Immigrants, with or without legal status or asylum-seeking
• A Country or its People
• A State or its People

5) You Must Abide by Pleasant Hub Platform Posting Guidelines
By accessing, viewing or using the Pleasant Hub website in any manner you agree and accept our Terms and Conditions of Use and Platform Posting Guidelines in their entirety.

Note: If content is posted or user behavior is reported by other Members of Pleasant Hub which is against Platform Guidelines or inappropriate, the Pleasant Hub Admin Team reserves the right to determine what constitutes inappropriate content or behavior and to delete the offending content, or delete the user's account, at its sole discretion without Member recourse.

6) No Hate
Pleasant Hub communities are intended to enable lively, but civil interaction. Please observe our #NoHate and #NoHarassment policy that avoids posting content that is abusive, disrespectful or degrading, includes foul language, or includes any form of personal attack. Aggressive posting will not be tolerated.

Pleasant Hub counts an “attack” as, but not limited to, the following or any combination thereof:

• Personal Insults
• Degrading Generalizations
• Comments that ridicule an individual or any group of people
• Profanity targeted at a segment of the population or at any individual
• Slurs against protected categories
• Calls to exclude any group of people based upon the categories listed above in section #2
• Calls for segregation
• Dismissing a group as less valuable or worthy
• Calls for Violence

7) Visible Head-shot Profile Picture Required

Pleasant Hub is unique from other platforms in that one of the user requirements is a visible "head-shot" profile photo. The reason for this requirement is bad experiences with Bots and Human members who did not post a profile photo or used a Meme or Avatar and then felt free to post inappropriate content without accountability. We are deeply committed to keep the platform dedicated to genuine interactions and found the need to require a visible head-shot.

8) Post & Comment with Mutual Respect for Pleasant Hub Members
It would be delusional if we thought we can make everyone get along in these current times. But on Pleasant Hub we insist on a posting culture of Mutual Respect without the angry, aggressive tone found on other social media sites. To help us keep the platform a pleasant place to share thoughts, Users will find an "Actions" option on every post and comment to Report to the Admin Team that someone crossed the line posting inappropriate content that does not conform to the Platform Guidelines. If we get an inappropriate content report, most likely we will delete the offending post of comment, but you acknowledge and agree that Pleasant Hub reserves the right to determine what is, and is not appropriate as its sole discretion.

9) It's OK to have an opinion and it's OK to Respectfully Disagree with another Member's Opinion, Post or Comment
The Platform Guidelines are NOT intended to stop disagreement. Other points of view strengthen Pleasant Hub and are 100% acceptable and perfectly fine, as long as you post contrarian responses in a respectful manner. When commenting that you disagree with another member's post or providing another point of view,
we ask that you do so in a respectful manner.

10) No Harassment
Any form of harassment is strictly against our "Pleasant Culture" philosophy. This includes, but isn't limited to: Posts, Comments, Replies or Direct Messages which ridicule or disrespect an individual or segment of people or include hateful verbiage, offensive name-calling, purposeful embarrassment, threatening, cyber-bullying, suggestive or sexual images, sustained sending of unwanted direct messages or pictures and so on.

7) No Creeps
Posts, comments or direct messages on Pleasant Hub that include statements to degrade, ridicule or disrespectful comments about someone or their appearance are NOT acceptable. Ending a post with "Just Kidding" is not humor and not an excuse for bad behavior. These and any other types of provocative or disrespectful comments will not be tolerated.

11) No Politics or references to Political Parties or Politicians or Political Messaging allowed
If there's a significant source of bad feelings, harassment, disrespect and hate. . .it's politics. We do not allow Politics on Pleasant Hub because the other side will feel compelled to respond and the shouting match will be on. We don't want that. So if you create a post that includes names of politicians or elected officials, political terms, messaging, meaning or tone, no matter how nicely worded, it will be deleted. Keep Pleasant Hub Politics Free.

12) Marijuana
We ask that posts which include photos of growing, smoking, using or otherwise focused on Marijuana be posted only in a Groups created for Marijuana users and NOT posted in the main activity feed on your home page.

13) No Violence
Pleasant Hub does not allow content depicting violence or suggesting violent acts with text, images or video anywhere on the platform.

14) No Pornography
Pleasant Hub does not allow pornographic content in any form (text, video or images).

15) No Solicitation - Asking Members for Money is Strictly Prohibited
While we understand there is real hardship, we also cannot let Pleasant Hub become home to scammers. It is well recognized that scammers target older people to steal their money with various sad stories. As such Pleasant Hub does not allow solicitation of members to send money, transfer money, make business investments, send gift cards or gift card numbers or any other way Scammers try to steal your money. If you or see a main feed post or comment or receive a personal Direct Message asking for money we ask that you immediately report it to the Admin so we can delete that Member's Account.

16) You acknowledged and understand that Pleasant Hub does NOT pre-screen, qualify or vet members in any way
You also acknowledged and understand that Pleasant Hub does NOT pre-screen, qualify or vet members in any way and is not liable or responsible if you become victim of a scam you fell for on Pleasant Hub and this is clearly stated here on the Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement which you accepted in its entirety when you created your Pleasant Hub account and login to access and use the Pleasant Hub website.

17) Reporting Inappropriate Posts, Comments, Replies or other Content
To keep Pleasant Hub a friendly and welcoming environment it will take YOU, WE, ME and US to help keep the platform free of hate and disrespect and aligned with our ideals and standards. Users will find an "Actions" link adjacent to each post, comment or photo to anonymously report inappropriate content. Please use this function wisely as it will generally cause the content reported to be deleted and if egregious enough, the user who posted the content as well at the discretion of the Pleasant Hub Team. For example if a User creates a Post with any form of Political reference, please report it so we we can delete that post in accordance with our No Politics rule.

18) Pleasant Hub Reserves the right to delete inappropriate content or member login accounts at it sole discretion.
Pleasant Hub reserves the right to determine what constitutes inappropriate content or behavior and to delete content or the offending Member's login and account at its sole discretion without user recourse.

19) Use of Pleasant Hub Website
You are expressly prohibited from making copies of any Content posted on Pleasant Hub. You may not distribute, modify, publicly display, publicly perform, or distribute any content posted or found on Pleasant Hub. The Pleasant Hub Website is protected under United States and international copyright laws. Any unauthorized use of the Pleasant Hub Website may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Syndication of Pleasant Hub content for any public or commercial purpose (including, without limitation, on another online property, forum, blog or website or through a networked computer environment) is strictly prohibited.

You agree to use the Pleasant Hub Website only for purposes that are permitted by (a) the Terms of Use and (b) any applicable law, regulation or generally accepted practices or guidelines in the relevant jurisdictions. You agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of the Pleasant Hub website by any means other than through the interface that is provided by Pleasant Hub, unless you have been specifically allowed to do so in a separate written agreement with Pleasant Hub. You specifically agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of the Pleasant Hub website through any automated means (including use of scripts or web crawlers). You agree that you will not engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Services (or the servers and networks which are connected to the Services). Unless you have been specifically permitted to do so in a separate written agreement with Pleasant Hub, you agree that you will not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade or resell any of the Content or Services for any purpose.

You agree that you are solely responsible for any breach of your obligations, and that Pleasant Hub has no responsibility to you or to any third party under these Terms and Conditions of Use for consequences, including but not limited to any loss or damage which you or others may incur or suffer from any such breach.

Pleasant Hub reserves the right (but shall have no obligation) to pre-screen, review, flag, filter, modify, refuse or remove any user or member or content from the Pleasant Hub Website without notification or user recourse.

20) Content Posted on Pleasant Hub by Users - "User-Submissions"
Certain areas of the pleasanthub.com website permit you to submit posts, polls, articles, comments, images, photographs, graphics, video, feedback, information, data, text, messages, or other Content (each, a “user-submission”, “User-Submission”, “User Submission”, “User-Generated Content” or “UGC”). By posting a user-submission; whether a post, comment, reply, photo, image, video, blog, article, social media post, added directly on the site, or contributed via RSS, the contributor agrees to give Pleasant Hub a perpetual, non-exclusive license to render their user-submissions on pleasanthub.com or until the User deletes the Content.

20.1) By creating and posting a User-Submission you grant to Pleasant Hub a license to (a) display your User-Submissions (or any modification thereto), in whole or in part, in any format or medium now known or later developed to website users and (b) that Pleasant Hub does not pre-screen, limit or vett users and (c) Pleasant Hub reserves the right to display advertisements in connection with User-Submissions.

20.2) Users have the functionality to delete their own posts and images. Users may also submit a written request to Pleasant Hub to have User-Submissions deleted by creating a Support Ticket.

20.3) Pleasant Hub will not knowingly share or sell User-Submissions or User-Data with or to any other entity. For more information how Pleasant Hub manages, stores and shares User-Data, please visit the Pleasant Hub Privacy Policy

21) By submitting any User-Submission, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 55 years old;
• You release and indemnify Pleasant Hub and sponsors of Pleasant Hub website from any claims and/or liability related to your use of Pleasant Hub.
• You own all rights in your User-Submissions (including, without limitation, all rights to the images, audio, video, or digital recording and the performance contained in your User-Submissions) or, alternatively, you have acquired all necessary rights in your User-Submissions to enable you to grant to Pleasant Hub the rights in your User-Submissions described herein;
• Your User-Submissions do not infringe the copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other legal or moral rights of any third party;
• You will pay in full all license fees, clearance fees, and other financial obligations, of any kind, arising from any claims of commercial exploitation of your User-Submissions;
• You are the individual pictured and/or heard in your User-Submissions or, alternatively; you have obtained permission from each person
• You will NOT post any image with or without consent from parents or guardians of any individual under the age of eighteen (18).
• You voluntarily agree to waive all “moral rights” that you may have in your User Submission;
• Your User-Submission does not contain any information that is known by you to be false, inaccurate, or misleading;
• Your User-Submission does not violate any law (including, but not limited to, insider information, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination, or false advertising);
• Your User-Submission is not, and may not reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, libelous, hateful, racially, ethnically, religiously, or otherwise biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening, or unlawfully harassing to any individual, partnership, or corporation, vulgar, pornographic, obscene, or invasive of another’s privacy;
• You were not and will not be compensated or granted any consideration by any third party for submitting your User-Submission;
• Your User-Submission does not incorporate Content from a third party web site, or addresses, email addresses, contact information, or phone numbers (other than your own);
• Your User-Submission does not contain any viruses, worms, spyware, adware, or other potentially damaging programs or files;
• Your User-Submission does not contain any information that you consider confidential, proprietary, or personal;
• Your User-Submission does not contain or constitute any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional Content, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any other form of solicitation;
• You are solely responsible for the content of all information you contribute, link to, or otherwise upload to Pleasant Hub website;
and:

21.1) Additionally, by posting User-Submissions on the Pleasant Hub website, you acknowledge and agree that:

(a) You grant to Pleasant Hub a perpetual, transferable, non-exclusive, fully-paid, worldwide, license when posting content on the pleasanthub.com website, in-whole, or in-part.
(b) You agree that you are solely responsible for all of your user-submissions.
(c) pleasanthub.com is not required to host, display, or distribute any user-submissions on or through the pleasanthub.com website and may remove at any time without notice or refuse any user-submissions for any reason.
(d) pleasanthub.com is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of any kind by or to any user-submissions. pleasanthub.com does not want to receive any user-submissions that is confidential.
(e) You understand and agree that any user-submissions will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary and that pleasanthub.com will be free to disclose your user-submissions absent any obligation of confidence on the part of the recipient.
(f) pleasanthub.com does not guarantee that you will have any recourse through pleasanthub.com or any third party to edit or delete any user-submissions you have submitted.
(g) By posting you agree to be solely responsible for the content of all information you contribute, link to, or otherwise upload to the website and release pleasanthub.com from any liability related to your use of the Website.
(e) pleasanthub.com makes absolutely NO guarantee that your profile, posts, pictures, comments or other activity on the platform cannot be found online outside of pleasanthub.com either by a platform vulnerability or hack or by nefarious user-behavior such as copying an image, post or other user information or user-submission.

22) You agree that you are solely responsible for all of your User-Submissions and that if you post an image that violates a copyright you take sole and full responsibility for any litigation and all damages and release Pleasant Hub, its Principles, Affliates or Suppliers from any liability related to your use of the Website.

23) Each User Submission has a feature where other users can "report" the post as inappropriate, offensive or otherwise against guidelines. If your User Submission is Reported by another user as against our guidelines Pleasant Hub management will make an arbitrary decision whether or not the post violates our guidelines (i.e. posting politics, pornography, disrespectfully or hate) and if it is determined an image or post violates our stated guidelines, it will be removed without seeking permission from the user who originally submitted the violating post or image and that user may be banned from the Pleasant Hub website or issued a trackable warning. If the violation happens a second time, the user will be banned from the platform.

You acknowledge and understand that Pleasant Hub is not obligated to, pre-screen User-Submissions or monitor any area of the Pleasant Hub Website through which User-Submissions may be submitted. Pleasant Hub is not required to host, display, or distribute any User-Submissions on or through the Pleasant Hub Website and may remove at any time or refuse any User-Submissions for any reason. Pleasant Hub is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of any kind to any User-Submissions.

24) Pleasant Hub does not want to receive any User Submission that is confidential. You understand and agree that any User Submission will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary and that Pleasant Hub is programed to post your User Submission absent any review or obligation of confidence on the part of the recipient. Pleasant Hub does not guarantee that you will have any recourse through Pleasant Hub or any third party to edit or delete any User Submission you have submitted. By posting you agree to be solely responsible for the content of all information you contribute, link to, or otherwise upload to the website and release Max Digital Web and Pleasant Hub from any liability related to your User Submission or use of the Website.

25) Content Contributor Policies
Pleasant Hub allows users to publish user-contributed content in the form of articles, posts and comments. By publishing or uploading content on the Pleasant Hub website, contributors agree to the following:

25.1 Content Contributors may cease contributing new content at any time without warning or notice.

25.2 Pleasant Hub reserves the right to not publish contributed content that violates stated guidelines at Pleasant Hub’s discretion.

25.3 Pleasant Hub will attribute content to the author.

25.4 Pleasant Hub reserves the right to syndicate all contributed content in summary form via RSS to third parties.

25.5 Contributing authors are solely responsible for the originality and accuracy of their submissions.

25.6 Pleasant Hub has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. Pleasant Hub recognizes that content creation and blogging is a heavily referential medium and that bloggers frequently cite and quote from each other’s work. Such citations should be protected under the legal doctrine of fair use. However, Pleasant Hub will remove any post that crosses the line from fair use to plagiarism, at Pleasant Hub’s sole discretion. Authors who knowingly submit plagiarized work may be banned from Pleasant Hub communities.

25.7 Pleasant Hub reserves the right to remove any sharing links or advertising accompanying contributed posts.

25.8 Pleasant Hub reserves the right to set fonts and styles, adjust image alignments, and otherwise alter post layout to insure that posts comply with Pleasant Hub’s global site styling.

25.9 From time to time, Pleasant Hub may need to display summary versions of contributed content. In such cases, Pleasant Hub may edit posts in summary form. Such summaries will contain a link to the full and unaltered post. In such circumstances, Pleasant Hub will strive to preserve the original meaning and intent of the content.

25.10 Pleasant Hub reserves the right to edit posts for clarity.

25.11 Pleasant Hub reserves the right to make corrections for spelling and grammar.

25.12 Pleasant Hub reserves the right to reproduce blogger bios and accompanying pictures in Pleasant Hub’s marketing and promotional Content such as sending emails about the Pleasant Hub website.

26) Inappropriate Behavior on Pleasant Hub
Pleasant Hub’s communities are intended to enable lively but civil interaction. Use of language that is abusive, off-topic, excessive foul language, or includes personal attacks will not be tolerated. Pleasant Hub reserves the right to determine what constitutes inappropriate behavior and to bar offenders at its sole discretion.

27) Pleasant Hub reserves the right to block or remove Users
Pleasant Hub reserves the right to block or remove postings or communications at any time at Pleasant Hub’s sole discretion.

28) Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all equipment and services needed for access to and use of the Pleasant Hub website. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Pleasant Hub Website password and you are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your password. You agree to notify Pleasant Hub immediately of any unauthorized use of your password or any other breach of security related to the Pleasant Hub website. Pleasant Hub reserves the right to require you to change your password if Pleasant Hub believes that your password no longer is secure.

29) Prohibited uses
You agree not to use the Pleasant Hub website (a) in a manner that violates any local, state, national, foreign, or international statute, regulation, rule, order, treaty, or other law; (b) to stalk, harass, or harm another individual; (c) to impersonate any person or entity or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity; or (d) to interfere with or disrupt the Pleasant Hub website or servers or networks connected to the Pleasant Hub website. You further agree not to (1) use any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering or extraction methods in connection with the Pleasant Hub Website; or (2) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Pleasant Hub website or any other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Pleasant Hub website, whether through hacking, password mining, or any other means.

30) User Deletion or Termination
Pleasant Hub may terminate, delete, suspend, or modify your registration with, or access to, all or part of the Pleasant Hub website, without notice, at any time and for any reason. If you breach any of these Terms of Use, your authorization to use the Pleasant Hub website automatically terminates and you agree to immediately destroy any downloaded or printed content obtained from the Pleasant Hub Website (and any copies thereof).

You may delete your user account or discontinue your participation or accessing the Pleasant Hub website without notice, at any time and for any reason without penalty.

31) You acknowledge and agree that Pleasant Hub may stop (temporarily or permanently) providing the Pleasant Hub website to you individually, or to all users generally, at Pleasant Hub’s sole discretion, without prior notice to you. You may stop using the Pleasant Hub Website at any time. You do not need to specifically inform Pleasant Hub when you stop using the Pleasant Hub website. In order to access certain Materials or Services, you may be required to provide information about yourself (such as identification or contact details) as part of the registration process for the Service, or as part of your continued use of the Services. You agree that any registration information you give to Pleasant Hub will always be accurate, correct and up to date.

32) Disclaimers

34) Governing Law; Jurisdiction and choice of law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
